Mindset

There are two main types of mindsets: a ‘fixed’ mindset and a ‘growth’ mindset.

A fixed mindset is like thinking that your abilities are set in stone, like a statue. So, if you find something hard, you might think, ‘I can’t do this, and I’ll never be able to.’ It’s a bit like saying, ‘I’m not good at this, and I won’t ever be good at it.’

But guess what? There’s an even cooler mindset called a ‘growth’ mindset. Imagine this mindset like a garden. In a garden, you plant seeds, water them, and watch them grow. A growth mindset is believing that your abilities can grow and develop, just like those plants in a garden.

So, when you face a challenge with a growth mindset, you might think, ‘This is hard, but I can learn and get better with practice.’ It’s like saying, ‘I might not be good at this yet, but I can improve with effort and time.’

Having a growth mindset helps you enjoy learning, embrace challenges, and become even more awesome over time. So, whether it’s learning a new skill, tackling a tricky math problem, or making new friends, having a growth mindset is like having a powerful superhero sidekick cheering you on!”
